    Phone-based Management
    Caller ID Blocking on/off *67/*68
    To block the caller ID on outbound calls on a per call basis press *67 before dialing a number. Caller ID will be blocked on that call. If you would like caller ID to be displayed again before making the next call, press *68 or simply hang up and dial.

    Call Return *69
    To automatically call back the last incoming call, whether it was answered or not, press *69 and stay on the line.

    Call Waiting Disable *70
    To disable call waiting on a per call basis and send all subsequent new callers while on the phone to voicemail to one number access (ONA), simply dial *70 before making your call.

    Call Park/Call Pick-Up
    This feature gives the receptionist the flexibility to park a call while paging the recipient.
    - Call parked in extension will ring until the line is picked up
    - A parked call can be picked up by any extension within the organization

    Do Not Disturb (DND)
    When you need quiet time to finish a project, put your telephone in a state that will not ring and calls will automatically be forwarded to voicemail (or to a busy signal if voicemail is turned off)

    Call Transfer

    Call Forwarding
    Automatic Call Forwarding with Selective Rules eliminates the need for human intervention. Rules include:

    3-Way Conference
    Quickly get a second opinion with 3-way conferencing

    Caller-ID and Call Waiting Caller-ID
    Helps determine if this is a call that can wait or not
    -Number and name (if programmed in) of incoming call appears on display

    Local Time Zone Management
    Eliminates the need for a clock on your desk
    - Phone displays user’s local time zone
    - Also displays local time of message received

    Stutter Tone Notification
    Advises if your phone is accepting calls or if you have any messages
    - On call forward, do not disturb or new voicemail

    Ring Tones
    Distinctive Ringing signals whether an insider or outsider is calling you
    - Internal calls are distinguished by a single ring
    - External calls are distinguished by two rings

    Ring Groups
    Any member in a group can pick up the call
    - Incoming calls can be routed to a group of phones simultaneously
    - Great for a team of customer service reps or sales people

    Local Number Porting (LNP)
    Number Transfer or Local Number Portability (LNP) allows customers in the US to retain their local telephone number or Internet telephone service phone number when switching service providers. Packet8 does not charge to move your current phone number to Packet8. During this process, Packet8 will provide a temporary phone number as well as turn off your old service.
    Transferring regular numbers generally takes approximately six to eight weeks to transfer regular numbers to Packet8. Toll free number portability generally takes two to five weeks. During the process, you can view your number portability status and updates by logging into your Self Service Portal account.

    Although Packet8 makes every attempt to work with all telephone service providers across the United States, certain local or regional guidelines may preclude your current provider from releasing your number to Packet8. In such cases, a new number from Packet8 would be required to subscribe to our service.

    Directory Assistance Listing
    Packet8 gives you the option to add your company name and telephone number to a Directory Assistance Listing provider. This information will be maintained by a nation-wide database listing provider which will allow more accessibility to your company information.

    Microsoft Outlook Integration
    Virtual Office Outlook Integration seamlessly integrates your Microsoft Outlook contacts into your Virtual Office extension by installing software to your PC. Incoming calls are displayed with screen pops based on your Outlook Contacts. Outlook Integration also places a button on your Outlook program so you can place calls directly from your address book.

    All Virtual Office customers can download Virtual Office's Outlook Integration software at no extra charge. This program currently works only with Microsoft Windows XP SP2, Outlook 2003, and .NET Framework 2.0.
